Samaritans Together of Henry County, Inc. serves as a clearinghouse for benevolence requests for the citizens of Henry County. 

Our Samaritans Executive Director works with the help of volunteers who give their time and talents each month to work one-on-one with our clients during the interview process.  We are governed by a 8 member Board of Directors.

Clients are eligible for assistance only once in a lifetime.  Due to limited funding clients are required to call for assistance.  Each is screened by phone to ensure they qualify for assistance.  Clients must be Henry County residents and meet all funding requirements.

Once approved for assistance, clients received an email or phone call.  Each client must complete an application showing need, provide supporting documentation (i.e. ID, income information, lease/monthly rent statement and current utility bills) and other pertinent documents in connection to their specific request.  Each is interviewed by a member of  our team.  Volunteers call the vendor to confirm need and to ensure aid has not been pledged by another organization.  A payment voucher is faxed to the vendor if required.  Financial aid funds are never given to the client but sent directly to the vendor.

Outcome measurement is an important part of the service process.  Each client is contacted by phone within 30-90 days after their initial appointment to monitor their progress.  We utilize other resources to help those clients who may have need of other basic necessities such as food, clothing, counseling or education.
