Samaritans Together of Henry County, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) organization founded in 1992 by a group of 23 churches dedicated to helping our neighbors in need. We are not a church; we are a Christian organization supported by many diverse church denominations in Henry County. We also receive financial support from foundation grants, civic organizations and in part by United Way.
We serve as a clearinghouse for benevolence requests and maintain detailed records on each client served. We network with other agencies like United Way Corporate Family Assistance Program (i.e. referrals from 211), Salvation Army, St. Vincent de Paul, Connecting Henry and local churches.
Our Samaritans Executive Director works with the help of volunteers who give their time and talents each month to work one-on-one with our clients during the interview process. We are governed by a 8 member Board of Directors.
Our mission is to provide financial assistance to Henry County residents in a financial crisis. We serve a population to include the unemployed, underemployed, elderly and those living on a limited income due to disability. We pay past due electric, gas, and water bills; provide funds to obtain propane and we can help with past due rent and mortgage payments.
Our goals are to continue to be a steadfast support to Henry County residents in crisis. We continue to search for additional funding sources to increase our ability to help more families who are experiencing hardship. We strive to help each family retain housing and maintain a stable living environment.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve the lives of the residents of Henry County. Please donate today to help fund our mission.
